For jockey boxes, just pick up all the necessary items, such as jockey box coil, cooler, etc., and do it yourself. For selling draft beer jockey boxes are a fantastic option. They are perfect for big volume bottling during events like celebrations, festivals, and sample giveaways. While purchasing a jockey box is an option, building your own is a more cost-effective and lucrative one. Just pick up all the necessary elements, such as a cooler and more, and do it yourself. But before that, here are 5 things you should know about jokey boxes before you get started.

  1. Details you will need

What you must buy and get ready before you begin:

  • A cooler that can comfortably fit coils that have been submerged in an ice bath;
  • Your choice of size and form for stainless steel jockey box coils;
  • Cooler sleeve;
  • Crane stem;
  • Beer on tap is draft.
  1. Where can you find the details you need?

You may buy a jockey box conversion kit to obtain everything you need to get started on your project, or you can buy these parts separately.

  1. The tools you need

You will need some tools. Check if you have them in stock or if they are worth buying:

  • Cordless/power drill
  • Drill Bit
  • Spanner wrench
  • Hex nut wrench
  • Sharpie
  • Tape Measure
  1. Learn in detail how to make a jockey box yourself

Prior to drilling holes on either side of the cooler, you must measure using a tape measure. Then, using a wrench, fasten the faucet to the shank and secure it to the cooler’s wall. The cooler coupling at the back must then be connected after that. Finally, use a hex wrench to attach the coils to the jockey box’s sides.

  1. Think design ahead

Think over the design of your jockey box in advance: be it stickers of the logos of your favorite brewery, or a football team. You can also work on the lid of your docking box. Your fantasy is in your hands.
